I have an AKC registered female ShihTzu who got pregnant by my male Shih Tzu when we had been on vaction and now we have gorgeous Shih Tzu puppies. The daddy is not registered, my husband bought him and the peolpe said that he was not registered. I had 2 AKC registered Shih Tzus when I lived in Colorado and had two litters of puppies. I don’t truly take into account myself as a breeder, I just adore this breed. We have only had 4 litters in 18 years of owning Shih Tzus. ( I get as well connected and cry when they go to thier new homes) Now that my male is not registered I was wanting opinions on what to sale the puppies for.

Your absolutly proper obtaining great properties is the most critical!
Thanks once more for all your input. Puppies have currently had thier 1st shoots and dewormed. Daddy going in to get fixed in a couple of weeks.

Since you can’t prove they’re purebreds, I’d say sell them for whatever the vet bills were.
IF you let your b*tch have a litter of pups, you are a breeder. If you don’t do health testing, improving the breed etc.. you are a byb. Sorry. I would carefully home them for the cost of the breeding and consider myself lucky my b*tch is still alive.
Once you mate two dogs and have puppies You are a breeder.I don’t mean this as a put down.Negative answers do not help anyone..As to price it depends upon where you are,check out the area market on dogs..I’d think purebred shi-tzu pups would go for $ 300-400 maybe less maybe a little more,also quality of pups should be considered and what care you plan on having done before selling.
Well i wouldn’t want to make alot on the puppies. I would however make sure a great family would get them. I’d say anywhere between 250-350….. And if you still have a couple when they get older and some already sold… sell them for like 150-250
Make sure you know who’s getting your puppies and there shouldn’t be a problem! i don’t believe in selling puppies that are like $ 600 unless there a Lisense breeder and has ALL papers garenteed and champion bloodlines and stuff like that!
If you care alot about the puppies find great families for them and then worry about the money!

$ 50.00 should cover first vet bill to get shots for them, and it sounds to me like you want to be a BYB please get animals fixed
