Q&A: What do MLS fans think of Freddie Ljungberg joining the new Seattle team?
Query by Eazy: What do MLS fans assume of Freddie Ljungberg joining the new Seattle team?
I personally believe that this was an Okay buy for MLS, but I even now believe they are not carrying out it right. It depends, if MLS is overpaying for him, it’s a poor acquire, if it was a affordable value, then it really is an Okay move. I feel MLS demands to bring in Quality gamers from South America who are youthful, not players who are about to retire. But anyways, what do you guys assume?

I believe its ok to entice far more individuals but also yea bring in more talent from south america not just from africa.

I think it’s a good signing.he is still an injury risk.hopefully he plays well and stays healthy.
he’s still only 31.so I would say he has about 3 good years to play.
I’ve seen him play before and he is much more dynamic than beckham.he takes people off the dribble more and he has excellent pace.also has accurate passing.
I agree with you about the MLS scouting South America.
I especially like the MLS signings of javi morales last season and andre rocha.
that dejair dude in Chivas LA looks pretty good too.
the MLS definitely has earned dividends from bringing in talented South Americans.
conde also was a good signing.
I think he will be great for Seattle. He’s not really that old guys!
From marketing standpoint, brilliant, because he’s so photogenic. He’ll look great on Sounders programs and media guides. Will convert more of the Seattle area’s marginal/potential soccer fans.
And now, if Beckham stays, MLS will have the 2 most centerfold-worthy footballers in the world. Stadiums will be filled with teenage girls. Shrieking.
Seriously, though, the mainstream U.S. sports media will relate to Freddie better than say, RSL’s Javier Morales. Arsenal is a team they’ve heard of. They’ll be proud of themselves saying, “The ex-Arsenal player …”
I think that’s great! They need more talents like him in the MLS!
He’s a great player, not quite as fast as he used to be but holds on to the ball very well, great dribbler and can cross the ball good. i will definitely want to go see him if he signs with the league. im an arsenal fan and can’t wait to see him
Personally, I find this exciting, considering im an Arsenal fan. When they play against DC, I will defiantly be attending. Just rooting for DC UTD
MLS has no capacity of atracting young quality players from South American. The players from South America you call “quality players” are actually the rest that neither the European market or the top South American teams wanted. The look good playing at MLS, though.
